Carlos received formal, traditional training in yoga during almost 18 years as a monk. During this time he learnt the various systems of Indian Philosophy and immersed himself in the practice of yoga. He combines this traditional training with an academic background, having earned two Masters’ degrees: one in Sanskrit from UC Berkeley and another one, in Religious Studies, from UC Santa Barbara
