The Cleveland Law Library
Ms. Dugan currently serves two roles as the Librarian and Secretary of the Cleveland Law Library and the Librarian & Chief Administrator of the Cuyahoga County Law Library. Ms. Dugan came to the Law Library in 2003 after working as a Reference Librarian at the CWRU School of Law Library. In addition to her administrative duties, Ms. Dugan performs reference and research services for the Library’s patrons and conducts training for Library members and staff. She frequently lectures on legal research topics, and she has written the chapter on law libraries for the Ohio State Bar Association’s online book entitled OfficeKeeper. Ms. Dugan is a 1984 graduate of John Carroll University, where she obtained a B.A. in English, a minor in Political Science and a concentration in business. Thereafter in 1987, Ms. Dugan obtained her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where she served as a Managing Editor of the Cleveland State Law Review. Upon graduation, Ms. Dugan practiced civil litigation for 13 years at Wuliger, Fadel & Beyer, a small boutique Cleveland law firm. While engaged in the practice of law, Ms. Dugan taught paralegal classes for both Notre Dame College of Ohio and the American Institute for Paralegal Studies. In 1999, Ms. Dugan finally pursued her true career love and went to Kent State University, where she obtained a graduate appointment and completed her Masters in Library in Science by the year 2000, graduating No. 1 in her class. Ms. Dugan serves as the Secretary of the Ohio Consortium of County Law Libraries. She is also an active member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and its Justice For All Committee.
