When you can’t sleep well you feel tired, run down, you can’t think right. Your energy is low, even the things you enjoy doing don’t make you as happy as they once did. Just getting through the day can be tough and you spend much of it thinking about how tired you feel.

If you are like most people you know the basics and old wives tales. Get 8 hours of sleep a night. Don’t drink caffeine before bed. Maybe don’t watch TV (or today read email or Facebook right before you try to sleep). Make the room cool, dark, and quiet. Go to bed at the same time each night, no pets in the bed, buy a new bed, buy a new pillow, Blah, Blah, Blah. Who can live like that?

Those recommendations make sense but do they work with YOUR LIFESTYLE? I bet not.

Most people don’t have the real facts based on the Science of Sleep Medicine and the result is that we develop sleep habits that lead to poor QUALITY and QUANTITY of sleep. Why?
